Jeremy and I traveled to Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. We had such a wonderful time and definitely did not want to come home. We started the trip by deciding to splurge, since this would be our only honeymoon, and upgrade ourselves to first class. We enjoyed a nice, comfortable flight and enjoyed free lunch and beverages. We got to the resort, checked out our room and balcony, and then headed for the water. We had a beautiful view and the beach was wonderful! Friday we hit the beach and the swimming pools for a whole day of fun in the sun. And, boy did we pay for that. We were sooo sunburned it was miserable! But onward we must press!! We decided to take a little day trip away from the resort on Saturday to an uninhabited island on the Caribbean Sea. We started by taking a long bus ride through many small dominican towns to get to the place we would catch our speedboat to the island. We saw some interesting things while on that bus. People there live so much differently than we do. We even saw a man in his birthday suit just strolling down the street!! We got on the speedboat and headed for the island. On the way we stopped to swin in a natural swimming pool in the middle of the ocean. It was really cool! Then we headed off to the island for some swimming, lounging, and an authentic caribbean BBQ. The Caribbean Sea is so beautiful! We had never seem such clear water before. After a couple hours on the island, we took a catamaran back and got on the bus for the long ride back. We met some really fun people on the bus and ended up hanging out with them a couple other times during the trip. We were so sunburned after this day, we spent most of the rest of the vacation indoors. We had such a wonderful time and I would love to go back there again! Here are some pics for you...

Oh how I LOVE the Caribbean!!! I must say that the natural swimming pool is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Maybe I'll have to go there soon! :)
