People have told me we live in a great place with so many different things to see. They say hop in the car and drive somewhere for the day and you never know what you will find. We got motivated enough last Saturday to get up early and take the 2 hour drive to Charleston. We were really glad we did. We started our day with breakfast at the Hominy Grill for a yummy, authentic southern brunch. Then, we headed down to the Aquarium Wharf to catch a boat for a harbor tour around Fort Sumter. We never realized until living here how much Civil War history revolved around South Carolina. It was a great tour and we even got to see dolphins in the ocean. We ended the day in the City Market and had dinner at the Charleston Crab House. Yes, I have begun to eat seafood. I know...you thought that day would never come! Anyway, we had a great day and I can't wait for our next day trip. Stay tuned to find out where!

Marla eat seafood? NO WAY!!!!!! I guess it just took a little convincing from your man to make that happen. Jared and I just had crab legs and lobster cakes last night, YUM YUM!!!
I'm SOOOOO jealous! It sounds like a terrific day trip. Glad you had a good time.
